Not to be for our Young Magpies yesterday , but they proudly represented us and battled right to the final whistle against Ennistymon in the  Féile Final.  

After losing the toss, Clarecastle lined out in a changed saffron strip to avoid a jersey clash, while Ennistymon wore the black and white. Playing against a strong wind in Caherlohan, our boys were under pressure early on, but a quick goal from Ado settled the nerves. It proved to be our only score of the half as Ennistymon kept the scoreboard ticking over with six points.  

The second half started brightly with a quick goal from Alex from a free. Points from Harry and Jack D, along with a goal from Ogie, saw the Magpies finish with 3-2 on the board. Pat, Tommy and all the backs defended heroically throughout, but Ennistymon finished strongly to claim the title on a scoreline of 1-10 to 3-2.  

While the result didn’t go our way, there is no doubt there is plenty more to come from this talented group.
