Congratulations to our U14 boys who put in a fantastic performance this morning in Clarecastle, coming out on top against a strong Cratloe side to book their place in the Shield Final 👏
The opening half was an evenly contested display with both teams enjoying their spells of dominance. Clarecastle went in at the break leading marginally with a scoreline of 2-04 to 2-05. Credit to Magpie goalie Jay Corry who pulled off a number of solid saves to keep Cratloe at bay.
In the second half, the Magpies really found their rhythm. Once they started finding the net, there was no looking back. Goals from Adamh Leyden, Conor Earle, Oisín Plunkett and Cillian Hickey proved decisive as Clarecastle pulled clear and finished strongly to secure a well-deserved victory.
Onward now to meet Inagh-Kilnamona in the final.
