An incredible way to finish the season for an incredible group as the U15s fought for every ball and through every twist and turn to edge a thrilling football shield final in Kilrush.

This is a remarkable achievement for this group, its the third time they’ve brought home silverware this season, having already secured the Academy A Hurling Shield title and the Division B Hurling title. 🏁🏁🏁🏁

Although the Magpies opened the scoring in the first minute with a Paddy Tuohy point, Kilrush Kilimer soon raced into a 1-05 to 0-02 lead, but true to their form all year,  this defiant bunch rallied with Sam Kelly and Harry Morrisroe raiding for goals to go in level at 3-4 to 1-10 at the break.

The lads pushed on after the restart with the excellent work rate that’s signified their year in both codes which soon resulted in a brilliant Donal Garvey goal, but Kilrush Kilimer would have another purple patch to ensure a nail biting finish and again the young magpies rose to the challenge with blocks, shoulders , tackles, and fluid passing that would see Sam Kelly complete his hatrick , with Finn Ellingstad providing the insurance score to ensure Clarecastle completed a rare U-15 double on a full-time score of 5-9 to 2-14. All 28 players on the squad lined out for Clarecastle, with each player making their own vital contribution, ensuring we made it to this day.
