having stumbled on the website i wish good evening to all magpies, im delighted to hear a very enthusiastic underage AGM was had and i am sure you all enjoyed it.Great, i am a neutral but a great admirer of the magpies since the early 1960s when many a battle was had with my native crusheen! id like to ask a question ,having attended 90% of clarecastle games that took place in cusack park right up to 2006 when i became ill i cannot remember one of the above people playing senior hurling for clarecastle with exception to young concannon who played and i think captained your senior team at one stage. i have noticed you have as a club not won the u21 for maybe 10 years having had a great spell at the end of the 90s when daly and sparrow were involved and only one minor won in the last 15, i believe no other success at underage A grade was achieved until u14 this year?? now you look at your senior team which must be at its lowest point in 15 years also.a small thought from an old lad out crusheen way! dont close the door on the old stock magpies who i once admired in that famous hooped jersey, surely they have something to offer your younger generation from the experience they gained on the playing field.i believe your village may have people who played in more than ten senior county finals and not one of them with exception to russell involved in the club!just a midnight thought!not wrote to offend!
