Great news for the Clarecastle rounders club when it was announced today that Declan Frawley is going to rewarded for his efforts in 2009 with a place on the All-Star team. Declan got his award for playing Right Deep Field and is said to be delighted with the honour. The All-Star ceremony will be held in Dublin on the 19th of December. Declan has many titles to his name, hurling, football, soccer but mainly for handball, where he has County, Munster and All-Irelands but he is sure to treasure this first ever Rounders All-Star for the club. Chairperson for the club Lorna Healy was delighted when she got the news today and said"hopefully its a sign of things to come for the club". Lorna stated it was great boost for the club and hopefully it will spur new people to take up the game.

Declan is a descendant from Maddens Tce which is no stranger to All-Star awards, with Anthony Daly and Ger O'Loughlin picking up awards for Hurling, but this is a first for the terrace and even Clarecastle and well done to Declan on his achievement.
